Surgery - Day of the Surgery

Prior to the surgery you will generally be examined by your anaesthetist. This is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have before your operation.

You will then be taken into the operating theatre where you will be given either a general anesthetic or a spinal anesthetic.

The operation usually takes 1 – 2 hours to complete.
